So much potential there... Still not pleased that they had the GrassRootsMotorsports design competition, and then chucked the whole lot of the submitted great designs, and came out with the bodywork that they did that looks janky and disjointed.

Mechanically, it is a fantastic concept.

Aesthetically, it should be scrapped, and re-bodied with something approximating the NeoStratos as a coupe or open-top car with a windscreen.

Otherwise, as a track car... I wonder what could be done with a paneled body, like a two-seat version of this.

With the advent of Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster 2.0 Turbo flat-4, one of these 818s with Subaru’s FA20DIT engine and 6-speed cable-shifted gearbox, converted to 2WD with a limited slip... could be amazing, and half the price of a Porsche with the same mechanical layout.

Can’t argue with a neoStratus design, and I love that Honda 2&4.

The 818C design isn’t stunning, but it’s pleasing enough for me to consider it. A very appealing package for sure!

Well, when I say half an hour I just meant the driving part. There’s also a 45 minute ferry ride involved.

I did swing by it once and they look like the kind of dealer who rejects anyone who’s not a serious buyer.

The showroom was just a garage-door sized window on the side of a massive industrial warehouse, and they made no attempt to make it look like you were supposed to go in there.
